Website Focus - Is it time for a redesign? Is your website still performing and attracting potential customers or businesses or is it lost in cyber space? Is it time for a fresh new start? It may be time to give that tired, old, difficult-to-update website a facelift to create a more up to date look and feel, whilst retaining your corporate identity to get your business back on the map. But where do you start? The first step is to analyse your conversion goals. Often, websites are not as good as they could be, simply because the site itself is too cumbersome or baffling for visitors to use. Here’s a few handy tips to help improve your websites performance… -Choose ‘Flat’ User Interface - a simple, large design that is easy to interact with.
Your Horse Live 2014 Once again, Your Horse Live didn’t fail to deliver. With thrilling demonstrations from top riders and trainers, over 300 exhibitors, and of course not forgetting the chance to meet celebrity fundraising horse Hovis, visitors to the show had a fantastic time. As PR professionals, Your Horse Live always gives us a real buzz as all of the products we love and champion appear under one roof and receive feedback direct from the consumer. A HICKSTEAD TO SAVOURWELL the Equestrian.com Hickstead Derby is over for another year and what an amazing event this year’s competition was.   After coming so close for the past two years, Ireland's Trevor Breen finally achieved what he'd always wanted to do - winning the Equestrian.com Derby at Hickstead. Trevor's horse Adventure De Kannan has a superb record at Hickstead, winning the Speed Derby in 2009 and the Amlin Plus Eventing Grand Prix in 2012. But the Hickstead Derby kept eluding him - despite coming tantalisingly close with a third place in 2012 and second in 2013. Last year Trevor finished in runner-up spot in the Derby when 'Addy', who only has one eye, knocked the open ditch near the end of the course and picked up four faults, meaning Phillip Miller won the top prize.
Brilliant Bramham – Even in the Rain A visit to Bramham International Horse Trials – the highlight of the northern eventing calendar is always a much anticipated visit. Ok the team heading there on the Saturday packed rain coats and umbrellas the night before to make sure we stayed dry – but we were still looking forward to it anyway. Those who were busy working there on the Friday had infinitely better weather and returned to the office with tales of Pimms and ice-cream! With car safely parked on the Saturday morning – my pack a mac in place we were on our way despite the team saying my coat was the most unflattering thing they had ever seen me in – care I did not it was just a case of trying to stay dry.
TSM Support 'Bring Your Dog to Work Day' Here at TSM we are proud to be supporting ‘Bring Your Dog to Work Day’. On the 27th June businesses are being encouraged to allow their employee’s to bring their beloved canine companions into work for the day, in return for a donation, with all proceeds being split between three very worthy doggy charities. All the team at TSM are dog lovers with most of us being dog owners ourselves. This will make for an interesting ‘bring your dog to work day at TSM’. Joanna owns a beautiful Labrador, Izzie, who features on the TSM website. Izzie is a lovely dog with a fabulous temperament and is a regular visitor to the TSM office. Little Jack, owned by Becky’s father-in-Law is also a regular visitor when on one of his many vacations at the Taylor household.
Team Outing to Clumber Park When the team at TSM heard that Sport Endurance was running a ride at Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire, we were all keen to take our horses for a fun day out. If you are not familiar with Clumber Park, it is definitely worth a visit. With over 3,800 acres of picturesque parkland and gardens, peaceful woodlands and a magnificent lake to enjoy, there is plenty of space to explore. Six of us booked in to do the 20 mile route; four riders from TSM and two friends. As the day of the ride approached and we franticly checked the weather forecast, it seemed pretty certain our 20 mile ride was going to be a wet one.
The Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Grassroots Championship 2014 On the May Day Bank Holiday Monday, I travelled down to Gloucestershire to meet up with HorseHage-sponsored amateur event rider, Julia Paterson, who was competing at the Mitusbishi Motors Badminton Grassroots Championship with her horse, ‘Spot of Luck’ (Marvin). Julia had travelled down from Durham with Marvin – a long journey that took six and a half hours. My task was to spend the next two days photographing the pair to record the whole ‘Badminton’ experience for a client’s website. Julia and Marvin qualified for the Grassroots competition at Skipton Horse Trials in Yorkshire last season for the BE90 section and were competing against over 80 other entries from all over the UK.
Can I get a Retweet? Are you up on your social media? Do you have a Facebook and Twitter account? Are you getting the best out of it? These are just some of the questions you should be asking when it comes to social media. Social media such as Twitter can be a really useful tool in spreading the word about your brand. Here we give you some top tips on how to spread the word and get your Tweets re-tweeted: Use one or more ‘#’ to increase the likelihood of it being retweeted – don’t go overboard and use more than three as it can become hard to read. Include a picture – this can be through the twitter system or from Twitpic, Instagram or Facebook.
